Guests will need three types of clothing on their cruise: casual shipboard attire or day wear, conservative port wear and evening wear.
Day wear includes slacks or pants, blouses or shirts, knit tops or polo shirts. Guests should bring a pair of sneakers or rubber-soled shoes for deck sports and a swimsuit cover-up for cool areas on the ship.
Port wear for women includes a casual dress, skirt and blouse, or pants outfit; for men, casual pants or walking shorts (for warmer days) and polo-type shirts. Comfortable walking shoes are a must.
On cruises to Alaska or Northern Europe, nights on deck can be cool, so bring sweaters, jackets and lightweight windbreakers. We recommend bringing a raincoat, hiking shoes and a travel umbrella.
It is always wise to dress conservatively when visiting the museums and cathedrals of Europe (i.e., a dress that covers the knees or long pants; sleeveless tops and shorts are not allowed). Bermuda is also conservative, so guests should reserve swimsuits, tank tops, etc., for the beach. For more guidance, please advise your clients to attend the port lectures on board.
For Bermuda, Caribbean, Europe (Mediterranean), Hawaii, South America and Trans-canal cruises, remind clients to bring extra bathing suits, as well as sunblock, sun visors and other types of sun protection.
Clothing recommendation for those guests traveling on a Cruisetour is very similar. Dinner wear while on the land portion of Cruisetours requires business casual dress. Shorts and tennis shoes are frowned upon in most restaurants in Europe.

There is no baggage limitation aboard ship. Air Arrangements guests are usually allowed two pieces of checked luggage (not including oversize bags and sports equipment, such as golf bags, water skis, scuba equipment, etc.) and a carry-on bag. Check with the carrier for specific instructions.
Important Note: Remind guests to bring along an overnight bag for their last night at sea. Stateroom attendants will collect baggage the night before departing, and a bag will be needed to carry off nightclothes, toiletries and valuable items. We like to take a folding bag with us in our luggage to carry home the gifts and other goodies that you purchase on the cruise but have no room in your luggage to place them.
If you are in an American port, Hawaii or Alaska, you can mail your gifts home to yourself to keep from having to carry them.
